Lanterns: Red Dawn Board Game is here!

And with a little delay... Here you have our latest release, Lanterns: Red Dawn Board Game. The game is a stand-alone print n' play, but it is also fully compatible with all our previous releases. And again, as always with our games, this release is free to play, so you don't need to pay to have the full set of cards and rules. But If you choose, you can make a donation for the designer for his work, that will be appreciated. And without further dues I present you the Lanterns: Red Dawn Board Game.

Find it here!

About the Lanterns: Red Dawn Board Game

On this Print N’ Play Board Game your goals are simple: Explore and control the MAX number of Sectors and fight Villains on the Lanterns Universe. As a little treat we decided to make the cards from this board game 100% compatible with our other Lanterns products but for now the Lanterns: Red Dawn is designed to be a Stand-Alone Game, so that is our focus today.

What you'll need

ü  Two (2) Dice [regular D6 dice]

ü  Some tokens (this can be anything, from pennies to popcorn. We suggest something non-edible)

ü  The Playing Card Pack:

·         4 Commanders Cards (Atrocitus; Bleez; Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz)

·         12 Sectors Cards (Locations Cards)

·         68 Strategic Cards (8 Characters, 26 Tactics, 22 Equipments, and 12 Encounters)

·         9 Spectrum Light Cards

ü  A printer

ü  Adobe Acrobat or another PDF viewer installed on your computer.

Instructions for printing

1)    Download the Playing Card Pack.

2)    Print onto cardstock (preferred) or regular paper.

i)      The card game pack is set up for double-sided printing if your printer has that feature. Choose “Flip on long edge” to print both sides simultaneously.

ii)     If your printer does not have double-sided printing, in order to get cards that are printed on both sides, you can choose to print only the odd pages first, reverse-order the pages, then place them back into the printer and print the even pages.

iii)    If your paper is lightweight, I suggest you print single-sided only and glue two pages together before cutting.

iv)   Color printing is highly recommended.

(As all printer setups differ, I cannot provide much troubleshooting with this step. If you're having issues, contact someone you know who you think can resolve it locally)

3)    Once printed, cut out all your cards. Try to give them a uniform appearance.

4)    You're ready to play!

Welcome to Lanterns: Red Dawn Print N’ Play Board Game.

Lanterns: Red Dawn is a Print N’ Play Board Game in which you control a Lantern Commander in a journey to save the universe from the impending doom of Red Dawn. He’s your main force. You also have a minimum 50 card Strategic Deck that contains the various resources to which you may have access: Equipment, Tactics, Characters, and other stuff.

You start the game laying down some cards that will act like your Sectors board. Then you choose some Encounters cards and place them beneath them. Next, you’ll place some Spectrum Light Cards beneath them. Then you’ll be ready to start. Roll dice and place your character on the respective Sector card. Then you’ll turn that card and see if you have all the card skills (the necessary card skills will be printed on the Sectors cards). If you meet all the skills you may see what the card Encounter card says and if you manage to survive the Encounter card. You may see what your Spectrum Light Card is. You win the game when you control the 9 Sectors or when you defeat your entire opponent’s characters on the board!
